The bonding and attachment to the baby. The mother's ability to bond breastfeed when you are depressed are very, very low.

The second thing is the mental health of the mom. The mom will be feeling sad, hopeless, and empty inside, which will affect her mental health.

The third thing is the physical health. You're not able to eat, you don't have appetite.

Your sleeping patterns have changed, and this will overall affect your physical health.

The fourth thing is the bonding and attachment. So this will hinder the mother's ability to handle the baby, feeling guilty and all these things. It'll affect how you bond with your baby.

Self care. Some moms during this time don't feel like they want to take care of themselves. Even showering, doing the things they used to enjoy. That will affect you also. You'll have no proper hygiene, no proper nutrition. All those things will affect your day-to-day activities.

The last thing is your relationships. Postpartum depression can cause a lot of strain on your partners, on your friends. most of the time you'll be irritable, all those relationship will be quite strained.
