Castor Oil for Natural labour Induction

20 18 study found that , it was likely to be more effective if this was not your first pregnancy. So if you'd already had a vaginal birth before then castor oil was likely to be more effective then if you hadn't.

However, big disclaimer, several studies reported, nausea is a major concern with castor oil, which I can imagine doesn't sound appetizing. And so nausea was a, was brought up as one of the main , negative side effects of taking castor oil for induction of labor.

Castor Oil is one of the ones that, while it has been shown to induce labor, please don't try it at home without support of your medical doctor because there have been, reports of it causing very, very long and painful contractions and basically you just wouldn't know what to do. You wouldn't know how much to take.
